A Gift 2 Africa

The Jewelry we display and sell on our website benefit not only the recipients of this exquisite jewelry, but the artisans too. Several jewelry items featured on our website are made by women in South Africa, Kenya, and Uganda. Many of the women in these countries have progressed because of the organization "A Gift 2 Africa." Sabina Zunguze is the founder of the organization "A Gift 2 Africa" she has to helped many of the women artisans and craftspeople become self-sufficient. Zunguze implemented a plan that incorporated "fair trade" methods and a love for Africa to help impoverished women better not only their economic outlook; but realize their self worth. We will participate in the 23rd Annual African Market Place @Rancho Cienega Park 5001 Rodeo Road in Los Angeles. Come out and see our beautiful inventory on August 23,24 30,31 & September 1, 2008. The African Market Place is one of the largest cultural fairs on the west coast.

California Jewelry Importers will display many handmade, one of a kind, unique pieces by the women of Kenya, and South Africa. The handmade necklace, bracelet and earrings displayed above were created by the women of Gauteng Province in South Africa. Many new copper and brass items will be displayed for the first time on August 23, 2008.

My Trip to Jamaica

In July I visited Ocho Rios Jamaica for 10 days of R & R mixed with a little business. Jamaica is very beautiful, and the people are warm, welcoming, and straight forward. Jamaica offers beautiful beaches, breath taking mountain views and awesome jewelry.

I visited Kingston, the Blue Mountains, "Nine Mile"(the birthplace of Bob Marley) and many other towns. Jamaica is truly the"jewel" of the Caribbean.
